Do you want to turn complex risk data into real-world impact?
Are you passionate about building tools and infrastructure that support smart decision-making in fast-moving markets?

At Mind Energy, you step into a role where data meets business-critical decisions. As our new Risk Model Developer, you enhance our data-driven approach to risk management - developing scalable processes, robust models, and smart analytics that shape how we understand and manage risk. You code at the intersection of energy trading, quantitative analysis, classical data structures such as SQL, and modern technologies like Python and Azure Cloud. And the impact of your work is immediate.

DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS LOOK LIKE

This role is made for someone who sees opportunity in complexity - and turns it into robust data structures, tools, and models people can trust.
You work hands-on with everything from raw market data to finished dashboards, data models, and cloud integrations. Along the way, you collaborate with teams across the business to make risk insights more accessible, scalable, and actionable.

Your mission is to:

  • Help design and evolve the data and analytics infrastructure for Risk Management

  • Build and maintain Python-based tools and models that deliver timely insights to traders, portfolio managers, and risk managers

  • Contribute to the growth of our Financial Risk platform in line with Mind Energy’s digital and strategic ambitions

  • Write and integrate data pipelines and models into our Azure-based infrastructure, and implement and enhance risk models such as Value-at-Risk, stress tests, exposures, and P&L

JOIN A TEAM OF MINDFUL ACHIEVERS

You join our Market Risk team - a core part of Risk Management at Mind Energy. We’re a focused and dynamic team of seven professionals with backgrounds in quantitative modelling, software engineering, finance, and commercial strategy.

What brings us together is curiosity: about markets, about modelling, and about how we communicate complexity in simple, effective ways.

You often find us at the whiteboard - discussing everything from the quirks of wind power to the ever-changing ranking of the best soft drinks in the office. We think clearly, challenge each other constructively, and have fun together - whether it's a paddle match, the DHL relay, or daily table tennis over lunch.

LET’S SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU

You bring a technical mindset and a desire to build things that matter. You translate code into clarity, and you enjoy teamwork and turning questions into systems that scale.

We imagine that you have:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or another quantitative field

  • Solid experience with Python for data processing, analytics, and model development - ideally within risk or trading

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud

  • Familiarity with SQL and data models is a plus

  • A structured communication style that bridges technical and non-technical audiences

  • A proactive mindset and a passion for using technology to tackle complex problems

  • Preferably 1-3 years of experience in a relevant role

At Mind Energy, we encourage applicants from all backgrounds and identities. We believe diversity drives innovation and builds stronger teams.

Please note that this role is based at one of our offices - either Copenhagen or Aarhus.
